Who we are

gotIRSproblems is a tax advisory and resolution firm. Our mailing address is 3 Andrea Dr, Canton, MA 02021. You can reach us at 617-829-2767 or intake@gotirsproblems.com.

What we collect

When you use the website or the free Tax Clarity Assessment™, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and how you heard about us. You may also provide answers about your tax situation, including your situation type, estimated amount at stake, years of unfiled returns, the IRS notice you received, and what that notice is about.

We may also receive anonymous campaign and UTM information and referrer data so we can understand which outreach brought someone to the website. We use cookies and similar analytics tools to understand site usage and campaign performance.

Why we collect it

We collect this information to give you an educational assessment of the situation you describe, match you with a licensed professional who may be able to help, follow up with you about your assessment, and improve our website and outreach.

How information is used and shared

Information you submit is sent to our intake team so they can review your assessment and follow up. When we match you with a licensed professional, the information you provided may be sent to that professional so they can decide whether and how to contact you. We do not sell your assessment information.

Anonymous usage, campaign, and referrer information may be processed by the analytics tools we use to understand website performance. We share information only as described here, when you ask us to, or when disclosure is required by law.

Information we do not collect on this website

We do not collect Social Security Numbers, full tax returns, IRS notices or document uploads, bank or payment information, or passwords through this website. If you later need to provide sensitive documents, provide them only through the matched professional’s own secure client portal. Do not send those documents by email or through this website.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies and similar technologies may help us understand how people use the website and how campaigns perform. Your browser may let you control or block cookies. Blocking them may affect some site functionality, but the assessment does not require you to provide sensitive tax documents.

Retention and your choices

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the assessment, coordinate a match, follow up with you, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. Retention time can vary with the nature of the information and our relationship with you.

You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Send your request to intake@gotirsproblems.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when the law requires it or when it is reasonably needed for legitimate business records.

Phone and text messages

Providing a phone number means you agree that we or the licensed professional you are matched with may contact you by call or SMS about your assessment. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to calls or texts is not a condition of receiving any service. You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP, or ask us to stop by contacting us at intake@gotirsproblems.com.

Educational purpose

The Tax Clarity Assessment™ is educational and is not legal or tax advice. It does not replace advice from a qualified professional who has reviewed your facts.
